I completed this project in the fall of 2020 for my Computer-Aided Design and Fabrication class. For this project, I was required to build a SolidWorks model of anything I chose. The object had to be either measured or use engineering drawing to reference for measurements. The project was also required to have at least eight unique parts and 4 associated engineering drawings. I decided on modeling an LM GTE style four-piston Brembo Brake Kit. I used existing engineering diagrams as well as a list of tolerances provided by the Brembo catalog meant for people buying their products. I started my model with the brake rotor, choosing the drilled variant because I thought it looked the best. From there I moved to the caliper, which was the most difficult to recreate due to its tight tolerances and unique bends and compartments. In all this project took roughly around 80 hours to complete.
